Country Grain Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup eau
  • 1/2 cup lait
  • 3 tbsp sucre brun, packed
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  • 1 cup farine complete
  • 2 cup farine
  • 1/4 cup cracked wheat
  • 1/4 cup 7 grain cereal
  • 2 tbsp flax seed
  • 2 tbsp oat bran
  • 2 tbsp germe de ble
  • 2 tsp levure, pour machine

Instructions

Form into a large oval with a high, rounded top. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet; cover and let rise, covered for 30-45'. Bake at 375 F for 35- 45' or until loaf sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Option: with a sharp knife, gently cut 3 diagonal slashes 1/2" deep on top of the risen loaf.
