Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups farine
  • 1 Tbsp poudre a lever
  • 1/2 tsp sel
  • 3 Tbsp sucre
  • 1 baton beurre
  • 2/3 - 3/4 cup lait, ou 1/2 & 1/2
  • 1 quart fraises
  • 1/3 cup sucre
  • 1 1/2 cup creme a fouetter

Instructions

Slice berries. Sprinkle with sugar. Let stand covered at room temperature for 1h.

Preheat over at 425 F. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and butter. OK if butter is in pea-size chunks.

Bien melanger.

Make a well in dough into 10 balls, pat flat. Transfer to a buttered foil lined cookie sheet. Brush on a little milk/cram. Sprinkle sugar on top.

Bake 10-15'. Cool. To serve, split in half, put berries mixes with whipped cream in-between.
